Hi Alice. I’m curious about your thoughts on the fat transfer that you had. I had mine done in April as well as a mini lift and am somewhat disappointed with the results. Any thoughts two+ years on? Thanks very much.

Hi, sorry to hear you are disappointed with your results. I was pleased with my results and a bit scared of how strong/ boosted/ chiselled my features looked in the first few months afterwards, but as the swelling settled down and because not all of the fat that is transferred to the face ‘takes’ in the new position, the results softened down a good deal.

Two years on – I’m at a stage where I need reinforcement from fillers, on top of that fat, some of which will still be there. So, it gave an impressive result which turned the ageing clock back a few years, if you like, but my face is still subject to ongoing post-menopausal ageing/ bone loss/ volume shrinkage, so I can’t claim that having fat transfer means you don’t need to do anything to your face for the next five years.
