Hi Alice, I’m on a budget so trying to decide between the Altrient C and Totally Derma Tub. I’m 44 and my main skin concerns on the face are collagen loss and sensitivity (Rosacea Type 1). I have very oily skin so wrinkles aren’t a problem yet.
Hi, Altrient C and Totally Derma both improve collagen levels in the skin – maybe try one for three or four months and see what you notice, then try the other for the next three or four months (it takes that long to see the results working through in the skin).
Each of those should help with skin sensitivity by helping strengthen the skin and improve its hydration levels but more immediately, keep your skincare really simple and focus on strengthening the skin barrier by using a gentle, creamy cleanser, a hydrating serum, a moisturiser with ceramides that will lock in the hydration, and sunscreen. Pick products that are fragrance-free – just because fragrance is a common irritant and may well make your skin kick off if it’s feeling irritable.
