Hi , I’m 62 and have noticed crepe-ing on my neck in the centre I went to have Profhilo on the 25th of May then 4 wks later had the second treatment, so 2 wks ago now I had the second lot , I still have some crepe in the middle of the neck and wondered how long it takes to see the result?

Hi, with Profhilo, it takes around eight weeks from the first injections to see a proper result (your practitioner should have let you know this) as it takes time for the extra hydration to kick-start the remodelling of the skin, and this process happens more slowly the older we are, so give it a couple more weeks. I always find that my neck is slower to show results with this sort of treatment than my face – because the skin is thinner and drier on the neck than on the face, so there is more work to be done to soften crepiness and improve hydration, and I need three rounds of treatment in my neck to really see a result. Discuss this with your practitioner to see what they think, but if you have the budget, it might be worth trying a third round of treatment to build on the earlier results.
