Would you recommend microblading? I’m 57 and my eyebrows are disappearing but I’m scared of the process going wrong! Thanks x
Hiya, TTG editor Georgia here. As long as you go to a great semi-permanent make-up artist whose work you really like, you’ll be totally fine. You want subtly defined brows, nothing that looks too startlingly heavy on your face. Microblading gives a much subtler, ‘hair stroke’ effect than traditional cosmetic tattooing, and an experienced artist will be able to create the perfect bespoke pigment colour to suit your hair and skin tone. Just make sure you see lots of pictures of their work and check that they have the relevant qualifications before booking. Also, while eyebrow tattooing is truly permanent, microbladed brows will begin to fade between one and three years (you get them topped up), so it’ll never be beyond repair.
