What is it and what’s the USP?  It’s a natural, luxury skincare brand founded and hand-blended by Margaret Delali Deegbe, who learnt her trade from her mother while growing up in Ghana, and who feels her products are a backlash against mass production.

Natural and hand-blended.

Hero product? The Fight Back Serum (from £13.95,, a blend of luscious oils for mature skin, including Pomegranate Seed Oil and Co Enzyme Q10.

Why the name? Arabelle is of French origin meaning ‘answered prayer’ – hence an ‘answered prayer’ to all skincare issues.

How new is it?
It launched in May 2012.

I haven’t tried it but would suggest… The Custom Body Oil (£19.50) or body lotion. On the ‘custom’ choice bit of the Arabelle website, there’s a ‘scent library’ with an array of different aromas. Japanese Plum? Frangipani? Fig & Muscovado Sugar?  Pomegranate & Fresh Mint? The choices all sound simply delicious.
