Struggling With Thinning Hair? See 3 Readers’ Results With Calecim Advanced Hair System

Jackie: for post-menopausal hair thinning 

The issue:

The lovely Jackie sought help with her hair as she’d noticed that the front triangle had got quite sparse, to the point that she was pinching side hair to make more of a fringe. In fact, she was a little worried she’d end up looking ‘like Donald Trump’, with her parting starting all the way at the back of her head!

Her aim: more hair coverage, to feel like her parting wasn’t as wide and to boost her confidence.

The solution:

To stimulate Jackie’s ‘dormant’ hair follicles, Jackie had an in-clinic Calecim treatment and then followed an intensive 12-week at-home regime. She used the product on freshly washed hair twice a week, applying the serum and then using the ‘stamping’ microneedling tool both horizontally and vertically to push the product into the hair follicles, while helping increase circulation. The aim is to use half a bottle of serum with each application (as you can see in the video below).

The results:

After 12 weeks, Jackie returned to the clinic, super happy with her results! In the video, you can see a noticeable reduction in scalp inflammation (which can contribute to hair loss) and well as more hairs in her follicles, signalling increased healthy hair growth.

Dominic: for male hair loss

The issue: 

Dominic started seeing changes in his hair around two to four years ago and admitted being a little bit in denial at first (which is definitely common). The defining moment was seeing himself on his Ring doorbell, as he was seeing the back of his head every morning when he left the house and noticed the thinning! In the video, you can see this ‘miniaturisation’ of his hair up-close, as it has become finer and lighter with each hair cycle.

The solution:

The aim of his Calecim treatment was to thicken Dominic’s struggling hairs and potentially stimulate multiple hairs to grow from each follicle. His first treatment (in clinic) used a vibrating derma stamp with 114 needles (that are longer than the at-home version) alongside the stimulating serum. Back at home, he followed the twice-a-week Calecim protocol.  The experience can be a little uncomfortable – but it shouldn’t be really painful. It’s also recommended you have maintenance sessions after your full course of treatment to top-up your results.

The results:

In the first few weeks you won’t necessarily see results for normal male pattern balding – but don’t give up. By a month in, you should see changes in the quality, the condition, and the shine of your hair. Then, eventually the shedding reduces and you get new hair regrowth.

After six weeks, Dominic’s scalp was much less inflamed and his hair density had increased under the microscope, which is good news for starting to reduce thinning. Then, after a full 12-week course, Dominic (and his wife, who was doing the needling for him) was noticing a visible improvement in hair density. There was even what looked like hair darkening – a definite sign of improved hair quality. No wonder Dominic was ”chuffed” with his results!

Amber: hair thinning in your 30s

The issue: 

Despite her long hair, Amber had noticed thinning around her hairline. She was especially conscious that it was quite thin at the front – something her mum and friends had picked up on as well, as her hair wasn’t ‘quite what it used to be.’ Amber had actually taken to wearing her hair over to one side to cover the patch she was most aware about – which did show up as a lot less dense when shown under the microscope.

The solution:

Having tried growth serums and supplements in the past to not much avail, Amber was looking for the next step up to tackle her hair concerns. She found the targeted in-clinic Calecim microneedling treatment ‘not painful at all’, making her confident that she’d be able to stick to her new 12-week routine, twice a week at-home.

The results:

After six weeks, Amber was really happy to already have seen changes, while noting the system was really easy to use.
