What’s the USP? Well apart from being a perfume brand from Vietnam, each of its fragrances has been inspired by a perfumed scene from Saigon, such as hidden, jasmine-laden gardens or the tranquil banks of the Saigon river. All the ingredients are ethically and sustainably sourced, from the botanical wax of the candles to the eco-friendly cotton wicks and the recycled card used for the beautiful packaging.
Hero product? Rather than a product they have a ‘hero’ or signature fragrance which is White Jasmine & Gardenia which comes in a candle (£45, cochine.com), reed diffuser (£49), hand and body lotion (£19) and liquid hand wash (£18).
Why the name? It’s derived from La Cochinchine the name given to Southern Vietnam by the French.
How new is it? Not brand new, it has been around in the UK for two years, but still gorgeously niche and so lovely I wanted a reason to post about it.
I’d try… The Juniper & Ginger Candle (£45) which smells deliciously ‘wintry’ without being overpoweringly ‘festive’.
