The Dermalux Flex MD made Alice’s skin look 9 years younger! Now it’s 20% off

11th November 2025
Updated: 14th November 2025

Can an at-home LED light therapy device really take almost a decade off the appearance of your skin? That’s exactly what Alice found – with great excitement – after using the Dermalux Flex MD. Read on to find out everything you need to know…

Best of all, to celebrate, we are offering £400 off the device, our biggest ever discount! It’s all part of our Black Friday sale via the TTG shop, which also includes 20% off across all of Currentbody‘s brilliant LED masks and other technologies (using code TWEAKCB).

What is the Dermalux Flex MD?

The Dermalux Flex MD is a medically certified LED light therapy device that you can use at home — the same kind trusted in top skin clinics, just made portable and easy to use. It combines three types of light: red to stimulate collagen and elastin production in the skin, and reduce inflammation; blue light for denaturing acne bacteria; and near-infrared light (to promote healing and cell-regeneration at a deeper level in the skin and joints).

Together, they work to brighten, smooth, and revitalise your complexion, while also helping with things like breakouts, sensitivity, and even joint pain. As Alice’s review will reveal, it’s one of those rare pieces of kit that truly lives up to the hype — powerful, relaxing, and clinically proven to make a visible difference.

How did Alice test the Dermalux Flex MD?

Alice was first lent the device in April 2020, just after lockdown had started in the UK. She knew the technology was well-proven – but was really interested in finding out what it could actually do for her and TTG readers’ faces.

“I used the Dermalux Flex MD diligently – goodness knows there was plenty of time – for 20 minutes or so, at least five times a week,” reveals Alice. “By the end of May, I was pretty sure it was doing my skin a lot of good.” She kept using it through to July.

How were the results from Dermalux measured?

In July 2020, once the clinics were open again, Alice went to have some detailing images taken of her skin by Nick Miedzianowski-Sinclair of Surface Imaging Solutions.

“Nick used a Visia machine at the Phi Clinic, which looked at the extent of wrinkling, pigmentation, redness and sun damage in my skin, and compared it to previous images Nick had done for me in February,” says Alice. “He is always scanning my skin to assess the results of one procedure or another. You may have seen his 3D scans on the Instagram grid too.”

The results: Alice’s skin looked younger!

You can see on the video above exactly what the Visia saw, and what the Dermalux Flex MD had done for Alice’s skin… and, drum roll please, it was really exciting, as she reveals below:

  • “It has reduced my wrinkles by almost 20%
  • My pores were 10% less obvious
  • My brown spots were reduced by 10%
  • My skin redness was down by 17.5%”

“Putting the images together, the machine calculated my ‘skin age’ to be 48 – a whole nine years younger than my actual age, which was 57,” Alice explains. “This really amazed me – when Nick scanned my skin with the same Visia machine in February 2020, it said that my skin age was…57. So to get an improvement of nine years just from a few weeks of light therapy is really impressive.”

And, if you are worried about buying the device and it gathering dust – Alice is still using hers!

“I’m still using the device regularly, and find that those glowing red lights are a real mood-booster on gloomy days, too,” reveals Alice.” That’s not a medically-proven benefit, but I can tell you, it certainly lifts my spirits on a grey day.”

That makes it a great Christmas present… to yourself as well as others.

Where to find the Dermalux Flex MD?

No doubt about it, the Dermalux Flex MD is an expensive piece of kit, retailing at £1999 — but we have good news!

Firstly, as you can see, it delivers significant, measurable results. It’s also medically certified for the treatment of psoriasis, acne and reducing joint pain, so it’s genuinely helpful for treating teen acne and sports injuries as well as the visible signs of skin ageing.
