Warm and heady: Marble & Milkweed body oil

What is it? It’s an organic and handmade skincare range by New York pastry chef, Briar, who has brought her love of fine ingredients to design a skincare range to simplify the way we care for ourselves.

What’s the USP? Its simplicity, along with the organic ingredients and the lack of harsh chemicals and artificial scents.

Hero product? The Nourishing Body Oil, (£29,, a luxurious mix of rose, cardamom and sandalwood which smells just delicious  and is full of vitamins to feed the skin.

Why the name? The scientific name of milkweed’s genus is Asclepius, named after the Greek god of medicine and healing. In Hindu mythology it is believed that the universe was created by a god drunk on the milky white juices of the plant. Today, milkweed is the primary source of food for the monarch butterfly. It’s Briar’s hope that the precious nectars you’ll find in Marble & Milkweed will likewise nourish you into glorious resplendence!

How new is it?
Launched in May this year.

I’d try… The Organic Ginger Lipbalm (£6); moisturising, with a subtle shine to it.
