New brand: Rossi Uvema


This natural brand is the brainchild of Alan Cartlidge and his wife, Rossi. After becoming tired of so-called ‘natural’ products that contained all sorts of ‘chemicals’ and preservatives, Rossi formulated a range with 100% natural ingredients. None of the products contain parabens, sulphates, petro-chemicals, PEGs, phthalates, artificial fragrances, plastic fillers or synthetic chemicals.

The brand’s philosophy is based on three principles;  purity, balance and wisdom.

  1. Purity meaning natural really is natural. Only 100% natural ingredients are used, and no synthetic fragrances or preservatives are used.
  2. Balance in that they believe in a balanced lifestyle to promote health, vitality and wellbeing.
  3. Wisdom in that the formulas combine active botanicals to give skincare that helps you look and feel your best.

There are four ranges in the brand; Hydrating, Sensitive, Combination and Forever Rose.

I’d recommend the Rhassoul and Strawberry Powder Face Mask (£13.50, This self-mix powder mask contains the lava clay, Rhassoul, found in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco.  Mineral-rich, this clay is extracted in large clods, washed, sun-dried and micronized into a smooth powder. It has been used as a skin and hair conditioner for thousands of years probably due to its high content of silica, magnesium, potassium and calcium as well as its ability to absorb oil.
