Curious to know which skincare products Alice and the TTG team actually swear by? Well, to celebrate the shop’s November sale (where there’s 20% off across the website), we’re sharing a little peek into our beauty bags, to share the skincare heroes we love and think you’ll love too…
Alice’s top three picks
1. Neostrata Skin Active Triple Firming Neck Cream, NOW £46.40, SHOP
It goes to show how popular this neck cream is because so many people don’t just buy it once; they frequently repurchase it – myself included! An award-winning cream, it aims to prevent our necks from getting really crepey or sagging as we age (as they tend to do), by firming and plumping the delicate skin. To do that, it uses a rather clever ingredient called NeoGlucosamine, which works to build collagen and stimulate your skin to make more of its own hyaluronic acid.
2. Medik8 Crystal Retinal, NOW £32.80, SHOP
If you are just starting your journey into retinoids, Medik8 is always the place I recommend people start. The hero ingredient used in the Crystal range is actually retinal – a much more powerful version of vitamin A compared to retinol. But, don’t worry, it’s still beginner-friendly with a ‘step up system’ that means your skin ‘adjusts’ to the active before you raise the bar, meaning great results with less side effects. Best of all, it feels lovely to use.
3. Clinisept+ Skin Aftercare, NOW £13.20, SHOP
I always have one of these in my bathroom and suggest you do too! It is so useful for scraps, any skin inflammation (meaning it is great for sensitive skin), as well as gentle cleansing post-procedure. That’s because the spray can kill germs without you needing to even touch your face. Plus, it doesn’t leave your skin stinging or feeling tight after use.
Contributing editor Becki’s top three picks
1. Skinbetter Science AlphaRet Overnight Cream, NOW £107.20, SHOP
This was the first retinoid product that didn’t make my rosacea-prone skin cry out in side effect pain! In fact, that’s why plenty of other skin experts also recommend it for smoothing away wrinkles on more sensitive complexions. The ‘magic’ of the formula is a clever combination of AHAs with time-release retinoids, alongside a whole bunch of antioxidants, peptides, and soothing moisturisers. It doesn’t come cheap (so do take advantage of the 20% off offer), but, for me, it really works, so it justifies the treat-worthy price tag.
2. Vital Assist Skincare Repair + Renew Complex Vitamin C Serum, NOW £68.80, SHOP
One of my favourite new skincare discoveries, Vital Assist is a British skincare brand developed by the skin biochemist Dr Don Owen, and it’s all about results-driven skincare without the stress. The retinoid already has lots of fans (for good reason!), but I especially like this vitamin C serum. It contains a cocktail of brightening and protective ingredients, including a stabilised form of vitamin C, arbutin for pigmentation and peptides for firming. All in all, that means bye bye dark spots.
3. Alastin HA-Immerse Serum, NOW £88, SHOP
At this time of year, you really need to have a product in your routine that feels like it gives your skin a much needed hug of hydration. This clinically-backed serum delivers that (and a gorgeous glow) without being heavy or sticky on your skin. A treat for dry and dehydrated complexions, it uses a particularly effective type of hyaluronic acid to instantly refresh your complexion, but the results are also longer-lasting due to the inclusion of peptides that keep your skin stay better hydrated overtime.
Highlights from the rest of the TTG team
Georgia, content coordinator: Meder Beauty Red-Apax Anti-Redness Concentrate, NOW £110, SHOP
This anti-redness serum has been a total game-changer for my skin! As someone who’s had eczema since I was small, I often struggle with dryness and irritation, especially if I’m tired or stressed, and I’ve found it difficult to find skincare solutions that actually work. But as soon as I started using this serum, it became one of my favourites. Best of all, it got to work really quickly. After just a month of using it, my skin felt calmer, more hydrated, and noticeably less inflamed – and it still does. It’s soothing, lightweight, and gives my skin the relief it desperately needs.
Elma, content assistant: Epionce Milky Lotion Cleanser, NOW £27.20, SHOP
With so many headline-grabbing serums and creams on the market nowadays, it can be very easy to overlook what is actually a really important part of your daily routine: cleaning your face, without leaving your skin stripped or sore due to harsh ingredients, of course. Luckily, this is a really good cleanser you can trust. It not only effectively cleanses your skin but it also helps soothe your complexion with the inclusion of anti-inflammatory extracts and hydrators, so the task of washing your face at the end of the day even feels a little bit more pampering.
Matthew, CEO: Delivery Club supplements, NOW £121.60 for a six-month plan, SHOP
Great skin doesn’t just come down to what you apply on top of your skin. For the best results, you’ll want to up your supplement game too, and The Delivery Club makes that easy. Each month, you’ll receive a delivery of three great supplements, Altrient Vitamin C, Totally Derma Collagen and ZENii Triple Omega 3, which work together to make your skin firmer, smoother and fresher-looking. Best of all, the products also deliver health benefits like fending off colds, which is perfect for the wintertime. And you don’t have to worry about your supplements running out, as they are automatically topped up when you need them.
