What is a treatment like to have?
Your Jalupro treatment plan is based on a 3-step programme. Firstly, you need to book a consultation with your Jalupro practitioner, who will assess your skin and determine which product is right for you for the minimally invasive injections.
Then, for each of the four treatments in your standard course (spread two to three weeks apart), the treatment area will be first cleansed and numbed with topical numbing cream. The treatment itself involves a series of tiny injections into the skin, which deliver the bio-revitalising formula directly where it’s needed to stimulate collagen and elastin production.
Most people describe the sensation as a light prickling, and the whole session usually takes about an hour including numbing time. Afterwards, you might notice a little redness or mild swelling, but this typically settles within a few hours. It is also recommended that you boost collagen production at home with the daily use of the Jalupro Amino Acid Supplement for three months, which you should be able to get through your practitioner.
How quickly can you see results?
Initial results are often visible after the first treatment, with improvements in hydration and a gentle tightening effect. However, optimal results, especially for the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, skin texture and radiance, require a course of treatments over several weeks, as collagen production is a slow, natural process that takes roughly 28 days per cycle. With repeated sessions, patients notice significant improvements in skin texture, elasticity, and firmness, with results continuing to enhance over time.
Who is it suitable for?
Jalupro is suitable for anyone seeking to restore or maintain healthy, radiant skin. It is ideal for those who want a natural approach to skin rejuvenation without relying on fillers or invasive procedures, and its non-inflammatory properties make it appropriate for first-time aesthetic patients and individuals with sensitive skin.
What areas can be treated?
Jalupro is versatile and can treat both facial and body areas depending on the specific product used. Common treatment areas include the face, neck, décolleté, hands, lips, and scalp. It can also be used on the stomach and knees and inner thighs for skin rejuvenation.
How many treatments are required?
A typical Jalupro protocol involves a course of four treatments, spaced two to four weeks apart. This gives your skin the repeated nudge it needs to kickstart collagen production properly. Collagen takes around 28 days to form, which is why results don’t appear overnight – they build gradually, so consistency is key.
Does it hurt? What is the downtime?
Your practitioner will use topical numbing cream before the injections, so most patients experience only mild discomfort or a slight stinging sensation. The downtime is also minimal, with some temporary redness, mild swelling, or pinpoint bruising possible, which typically resolves within a few hours to a couple of days. Because the treatment does not provoke inflammation, patients can usually resume normal activities immediately too.
How long do the effects of Jalupro last?
After your initial course, you can typically enjoy the benefits for around six months, though this depends on things like your age, baseline skin quality, diet and lifestyle. It isn’t a one-and-done fix because, while Jalupro can encourage our fibroblasts to make fresh collagen and elastin, our natural collagen production still continues to slow as we age, and the body gradually breaks down the new collagen over time. That means, without maintenance, results will soften.
To stay ahead of collagen decline, it’s recommended to have regular maintenance appointments every four months. Your practitioner can then assess how well your skin is holding onto the results and decide when a top-up can maximise your results.
Can our lifestyle effect fibroblast activity?
Yes. As with many things, your lifestyle can make a difference in how well cell processes work. To support fibroblasts’ activity we need to ensure we have a healthy diet rich in vitamin C, vitamin E, amino acids, copper and zinc, and drink plenty of water, reduce stress and get enough sleep.
