As a qualified dentist with extensive knowledge of anatomy and the skin, Dr Bhogal founded AKB Aesthetics in 2017, now known as The Light Sanctum. Initially focusing on common aesthetic treatments such as Botox and fillers, she soon realised that she could not fully meet patient expectations and thus began her deeper exploration into aesthetics and skin care.

Dr Amrita Bhogal is a former dentist, medical aesthetics  practitioner and skin expert, and the visionary founder of The Light Sanctum, a space where science, skin, and soul converge.

Her journey began with the creation of AKB Aesthetics, a highly respected aesthetic clinic known for natural, evidence-based results and clinical precision. Over the years, as Amrita’s philosophy deepened, so did her vision for what true rejuvenation means. She recognised that skin health is not just about surface change or treatments alone, it’s through the restoration of balance, nourishment, and inner alignment.​

This realisation inspired the evolution from AKB Aesthetics into The Light Sanctum: a calm, intentional environment where advanced medical treatments meet holistic sensory experiences designed to restore calm, clarity, and confidence.

With over a decade of aesthetic clinical experience, Amrita’s work now bridges skin science with wellbeing. Her approach blends innovation with intuition, creating results that are clinically effective, yet deeply restorative.

As a busy mum of three and multi-business entrepreneur, Amrita deeply understands the modern woman’s struggle to find time for self-care. The Light Sanctum was born from her own need to slow down, to create a space where women can finally prioritise themselves, reconnect with their light, and fill their own cup before pouring into others.

Known for her calming presence and her belief that beauty should feel as good as it looks, Amrita has helped hundreds of women reconnect with their natural radiance and confidence.
