Mr. Nikos Lymperopoulos MD, PhD, MRCS, FRCS (Plast), has over 15 years of experience working in the NHS, with extensive training in reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery.

After graduating from the University of Athens Medical School in 2009, he completed his basic surgical training in Liverpool and was awarded a PhD with honours in 2013 for his research on DIEP clinical anatomy. He then pursued higher surgical training in Plastic Surgery across Yorkshire and Liverpool, including a cosmetic fellowship in the North West. Mr. Lymperopoulos further specialized with two breast reconstruction microsurgical fellowships at The Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea and Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals in London, two of the UK’s most prestigious institutions.

His expertise in breast reconstruction after mastectomy has given him a deep understanding of surgical anatomy and breast aesthetics, which he applies to cosmetic procedures such as breast augmentation, reduction, and uplift. His experience extends to cosmetic abdominoplasty, often performed alongside breast reconstruction, which can be enhanced with liposuction or muscle repair for post-pregnancy separation. Mr. Lymperopoulos also has extensive experience treating all types of skin cancer, including Basal Cell Carcinoma, Squamous Cell Carcinoma, and Melanoma, where early diagnosis and treatment are critical.

Mr. Lymperopoulos offers a full range of breast and body cosmetic surgeries, including breast augmentation with implants or fat transfer, breast reduction, uplift, abdominoplasty, and liposuction. He frequently combines these procedures for post-pregnancy transformations known as “mommy makeovers” and utilizes techniques like “auto-augmentation” for replacing lost breast volume. Additionally, he is trained in both surgical and non-surgical facial rejuvenation, offering blepharoplasty and treatments with toxins and fillers.

Currently, Mr. Lymperopoulos is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Leeds, where he teaches medical students regularly. With a strong interest in education and research, he has authored over 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals and holds a PhD in microsurgical breast reconstruction. As the Education Lead in his unit, he developed “The Yorkshire FRCS (Plast) course,” supporting trainees across the UK. His contributions to training were recognized with an Innovation Award at the 2021 BAPRAS meeting for designing a new training simulator.
