In 1996, Sharon first brought Hyaluronic Acid dermal fillers (Restylane) to the UK market and since then has become an expert on the use of dermal fillers to reverse the signs of ageing and to restore the skin. Sharon has been professionally educated in a wide range of medical areas including injection techniques, skin examination, possible complications, dissection and anatomy, all of which deepen her understanding and her ability when it comes to enhancing faces.
Sharon is committed to giving her patients a natural-looking result, and always stresses the importance of spending enough time in consultation with each patient in order to give a clear assessment of their needs. Her philosophy in aesthetics is that ‘less is more’, and she believes that every patient is a reflection of her skills as an aesthetician.
Sharon is often called upon to share her specialist knowledge through conferences, where she gives live masterclasses, as well as often appearing as the main presenter. She is a frequent contributor to various journals and newspapers and leads the UK editing task force committee on the British Standards Institute/European Standards Committee Draft standard for Non-Surgical Aesthetic Medicine.
She has co-authored and published The BACN/Royal College of Nursing aesthetic nursing competencies, which cover the various treatment modalities in this area of medicine.
Sharon is the Director of Harrogate Aesthetics, a clinic specialising in enhancing natural beauty and rejuvenating the face and body.
