Clarisonic Mia 2 facial cleansing device
Clarisonic is famous for its cleansing brushes and the latest one, the Mia Smart, can be used with a number of different click-to-fit treatment heads. One of these is a face-massaging attachment with three rubbery bumps on it, which claims that it will tighten and lift the skin at the same time as softening wrinkles.
The rubbery bumps vibrate and deliver ‘micro-massage motions’ into your skin, 27,000 of them per minute, and these in turn stimulate collagen production in the skin. You can use the device with any skincare serum, cream, or oil that you like (it helps products sink deeper into the skin, too), for three minutes at a time, morning and evening. Results from trials look encouraging — users report tighter, smoother skin and less visible pores.
What It’s Like to Use
Very easy: you clip on the attachment, apply a product to your face to give it some ‘slip’, and off you go. The device glides easily over my face, and although three minutes seems a long time to spend pushing this around my face and up the sides of my neck, it is curiously addictive. I find it works well with cleansing oil and that I spend as much time burrowing it into the tight knots of muscle in my cheeks, jaw, and neck as smoothing it along my forehead.
Needs commitment, but surprisingly nice to use.
