Heliocare 360° Mineral Tolerance Fluid SPF 50

All-mineral sunscreen that's great for sensitive skin

£27.00

This is brilliant – a 100% mineral sunscreen which is really easy to tolerate even for sensitive skin but which also has an invisible finish. It only uses mineral sunscreen filters but they’re in super-fine nano particles so they don’t give that whitish cast that you often get with mineral sunscreens. It turns completely clear as it settles into the skin and gives broad-spectrum protection.

It also contains a bunch of antioxidants including Fernblock (exclusive to Heliocare) which all help to defend the skin from within.

Description

This is brilliant – a 100 % mineral sunscreen which is great for sensitive skin but which also has an invisible finish, so it works well all on all skin tones.

  • It only uses mineral sunscreen filters, Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide, and they’re in super-fine nanoparticles which means they don’t give that whitish cast that you often get with mineral sunscreens.
  • It’s called “Tolerance” as it’s really easy to tolerate even for sensitive skins and ‘Fluid’ because it’s really runny.
  • You need to shake it well before you open it to make sure it’s properly mixed and when you start to spread it, you think ooh, that’s going to show up, but then when you give it just a few seconds, it turns completely clear as it settles into the skin and gives broad-spectrum protection.
  • It also contains a bunch of antioxidants including Fernblock (exclusive to Heliocare) which all help to defend the skin from within.

You need to shake the product well before you open it to make sure it’s properly mixed, and be warned, it’s really runny.

When you start to apply it, you’ll think ooh, that’s pale, that’s going to show up, but then when you give it just a few seconds, it turns completely clear as it settles into the skin.

  1. You must shake the bottle otherwise it is very thin. It also has an unusual smell – not particularly fragrant. Presumably it has the factor 50.

  2. Light and transparent but a little too oily for my skin.

  3. Very good love it

  4. I absolutely love this product I can honestly say hands down best for sun protection and for skin that’s needs some care . You must shake well before applying otherwise it’s oily ,as a side it’s also helped calm down my rosecea, big bonus .

  5. Wouldn’t be without this to keep my face sun damage free.

What are the best skin products for sebaceous hyperplasia? I am 48 years old. I have taken care of my skin since early 20’s with cleansing, acids, moisturising and then Vitamin C, nicinamide and Retinol 1%. But hyperplasia is difficult to treat.

You're right, sebaceous hyperplasia, where you get lots of little bumps under the skin where oil has become trapped, is an absolute pain. I have lots of them on my face and when I went to see a dermatologist about this recently, he told me that they become more common with age, and to get rid of existing ones you need to tackle them directly with lasers. To reduce the rate at which they're forming, he suggested sticking to skincare that would clean, hydrate and regenerate the skin without adding any extra oil, so that's a glycolic or vitamin-C based wash-off cleanser, an L-ascorbic acid vitamin C serum in the mornings, plus a hyaluronic acid...
