NeoStrata Foaming Glycolic Wash

Exfoliating cleanser

Sorry this product is out of stock. If you want to be notified when product is back in stock please enter your email address below.

I love this foaming face wash and always have a bottle on the go. It exfoliates, deep cleanses and improves skin texture. It will leave your skin excellently prepared for whatever products you are planning to put on, so your serums will be well absorbed, which makes them that bit more effective.

It packs a decent punch of glycolic acid so will give your skin a mini chemical exfoliation as you wash, and its foaming formula ensures it rinses cleanly off the skin. If you’re thinking, eek, it’s a foaming face wash AND it contains glycolic acid, that’s going to be savage… well, it’s not but it is strong stuff and needs to be used with respect.

Description

This foaming face wash is just fab. It exfoliates, deep cleanses and improves skin texture. I love this and always have a bottle on the go.

  • This product packs a decent punch of glycolic acid so that it will give your skin a mini chemical exfoliation as you wash, and its foaming formula ensures it rinses cleanly off the skin. (It’s a thoughtful, modern sort of foaming formula, rather than an old-fashioned, face-stripping sort of foaming formula).
  •  It will leave your skin excellently prepared for whatever products you are planning to put on, so your serums will be well absorbed, which makes them that bit more effective.
  • The brand says you can use it twice a day but I find that, much as I love glycolic acid, I don’t want to over-use it, so I tend to use it every other day.
  • If you’re thinking, eek, it’s a foaming face wash AND it contains glycolic acid, that’s going to be savage… well, it’s not but it is strong stuff and needs to be used with respect.

Apply a pump or two of foam to a wet face, massage it around thoroughly, splash it off with water or take it off with a damp flannel, and you’re done.

Start by using this every few days, to gauge how your skin likes it.

Aqua (Water), Glycolic Acid, PEG-8, Alcohol Denat., Arginine, Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Ammonium Hydroxide, Lactobionic Acid, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Polysorbate 20, Propylene Glycol, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Methylparaben, Chlorphenesin.

  1. I’m 55, with sensitive skin, prone to hormone-induced spots around my jawline. I found this glycolic face wash gentle and effective. I developed lots of spots in the first seven to ten days, which I believe was simply the wash doing its job: deep-cleansing my skin and getting rid of the detritus was carting around on my face.

Over a three month period, my skin (dry and prone to being crepe-y (word??)), has gained better tone and brightness. It definitely primes my skin for other products.

I use it daily (alternate days for the first week – just in case), but only in the mornings in the shower. I’ve never had any reaction or problems whatsoever.

I’m a skincare sceptic, but I do highly recommend this cleanser. It lasted for ages too, so it was better value than I expected.

  2. It cleans very good, it’s expensive but I use it everyday twice a day for years, really love this product.

  3. The best

  4. Fabulous face wash. Really good for oily/blemish prone skin that has texture. Also removes makeup very well.

  5. This is a product I use for years now. I love it. It was recommended to me by a dermatologist. Whenever I don’t use it, my skin starts to break, and I see pimples. For cleaning, it’s amazing.

What are the best skin products for sebaceous hyperplasia? I am 48 years old. I have taken care of my skin since early 20’s with cleansing, acids, moisturising and then Vitamin C, nicinamide and Retinol 1%. But hyperplasia is difficult to treat.

You're right, sebaceous hyperplasia, where you get lots of little bumps under the skin where oil has become trapped, is an absolute pain. I have lots of them on my face and when I went to see a dermatologist about this recently, he told me that they become more common with age, and to get rid of existing ones you need to tackle them directly with lasers. To reduce the rate at which they're forming, he suggested sticking to skincare that would clean, hydrate and regenerate the skin without adding any extra oil, so that's a glycolic or vitamin-C based wash-off cleanser, an L-ascorbic acid vitamin C serum in the mornings, plus a hyaluronic acid...
