This has an SPF50 and is a mineral sunscreen but the minerals are very finely milled giving it a sheer finish, which is what I really like about this product. It has a flesh-coloured tint – a pale one – but by the time you’ve spread a good layer onto your face it feels like a make-up primer with a decent bit of colour-coverage, so I find it’s a good make-up alternative on my pale skin. If you are fair and have rosacea, it will help cover up flushing a bit, too, as well as giving you good, broad-spectrum protection from UV rays. Physical sunscreens are particularly good for sensitive or reactive skin.

Description

This is an SPF50 mineral sunscreen, and the minerals (zinc oxide and titanium dioxide) are very finely milled so that it has a sheer finish, which is what I really like about this product.

The product has a flesh-coloured tint – a pale one as you can see if you take a look at the video, but by the time you’ve spread a good layer of this onto your face it feels like a make-up primer with a decent bit of colour-coverage, so I find it’s a good make-up alternative on my pale/caucasian skin. Physical/mineral sunscreens are particularly good for sensitive or reactive skin and because of the colour-cover you get with this, if you are fair and have rosacea, it will help cover up flushing a bit, too, as well as giving you good, broad-spectrum SPF50 protection from UV rays.

Before applying, you need to shake this to mix the formula thoroughly.

Also, be careful as you use it, it’s really runny – but just apply as normal, and reapply as needed.

Hi Alice, can you please recommend a good eye cream & concealer for mature skin?

I'm a big fan of the Elequra Eye Architecture cream which is light, hydrating and supportive. Re a concealer, I'm loving Monika Blunder's Blundercover which is a foundation that you apply with a brush so you can dabble as much or as little under the eyes as you need. Or, I just use the Neostrata Sheer Physical Protection SPF50 all over my face and as it has a light tint, I find it makes a good concealer, too, if your colouring is at all like mine.
