FOREO LUNA 3 Facial Cleansing Brush
Deep-cleansing brush with sonic pulsation
Order fulfilled by CurrentBody
This latest cleansing brush is brilliant. Using vibration and its soft silicone ‘bristles’, it gently shifts dirt, oil and makeup off your face in just a minute. The bristles really work your cleanser into the skin by vibrating with sonic pulses that more or less bounce the dirt out of your pores. This gives you a really thorough, deep cleanse and also means that any products you use afterwards will be better absorbed. The bristles don’t hang onto bacteria, so it’s very hygienic, and one full charge lasts for months. It also improves circulation in the skin. There are 16 variations on the pulses to play with. Download the app to your phone, and it will walk you through a cleansing process or four different massage routines.
This is the Luna 3, the latest cleansing brush from Foreo and it’s brilliant. Its main trick is that, using vibration and its silicone ‘bristles’, it can gently shift dirt, oil and makeup off your face in just a minute. Why I like it is because it these soft silicone bristles really work your cleanser – and you can use it with any cleanser – into the skin, and it is doing that by vibrating with sonic pulses that more or less bounce the dirt out of your pores. This means you get a really thorough, deep cleanse without wrecking your skin barrier, and whatever products you are using on your face afterwards will be better absorbed, too. These bristles don’t hang onto bacteria, so it’s very hygienic, and one full charge lasts for weeks and weeks of use.
This new version of the Foreo brush gives you 16 variations on the pulses to play with. Also, it’s a ‘connected’ device. Download the Foreo app to your phone, and it will walk you through a cleansing process or four different massage routines (see ‘How to Use’ for details on this) – which can be really helpful for reducing puffiness in the face
Wet your face, apply your cleanser, switch the device on and then, using the side with the silicone bristles, move the brush in small circles around your face, to work the cleanser right into your skin. Using the Foreo app to take you through the process – where to put the brush, and for how long – sounds like an unnecessary palaver, though, like having an app for brushing your teeth, I find it will keep me cleansing for a full minute rather than whisking round in 20 seconds.
Rinse your face, rinse the brush, and you’re done.
More excitingly, the app has four different massage routines to show you. For these, you use the ridged side of the brush (with a cleanser, or a serum or moisturiser to provide ‘slip’; your choice) to work on the neck, or around the eyes – which improves the circulation in the area, and feels great.
