Ms Aoife Naughton

Ms Aoife Naughton is a highly experienced and innovative ophthalmic and oculoplastic surgeon from Ireland. She underwent her initial ophthalmology training in Dublin and has been practising in the Oxford region since 2013. With extensive training in oculoplastic surgery, she completed two prestigious specialist Oculoplastic Fellowships at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, London, and the Oxford Eye Hospital. She holds a substantive Consultant post in Oculoplastic Surgery at Portsmouth University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and a Member of the British Oculoplastic Surgical Society, Aoife’s credentials speak to her expertise in the field. Aoife is a talented aesthetic doctor and has completed the Level 7 Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine.

Specialising in cosmetic and reconstructive oculoplastic (eye and eyebrow) surgery, as well as lacrimal surgery, she performs procedures aimed at restoring a natural youthful look, including blepharoplasty and ptosis eyelid surgery. Aoife also offers a range of advanced non-surgical treatments to rejuvenate the face, carefully tailoring each approach to achieve natural-looking results for her patients.

Passionate about teaching, Aoife actively engages in oculoplastic research and has presented extensively at national and international meetings, including the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society, the European Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She was awarded the prize for “Best Eyelid Surgery Video” at the inaugural World Society of Ophthalmic Plastic Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery Conference. Her commitment to cultivating surgical excellence is evident through her work in delivering safe surgical training in ophthalmology and her instrumental role in setting up a surgical simulation suite in Oxford to train future generations of ophthalmic surgeons with utmost safety and precision.
