Dr Mayoni Gooneratne
Dr Mayoni Gooneratne MBBS, BSc, MRCS, AFMCP is the founder and CEO of Human Health and SkinFit, which she created to help women overcome the blocks that stand between them and their best and highest potential.
She is a former NHS colorectal and pelvic floor surgeon, who undertook a period of research early in her career to look at pathways that affect incontinence. She felt that conventional healthcare structures kept people moving towards illness, rather than health-facing, so she created The Clinic by Dr Mayoni which allows her and her world-class team to deliver this upstream level of care.
She uses a unique ‘cell up’ approach which means that during a consultation she will discuss how to look better on the outside, but more critically on the inside too. So, expect a full 360-degree approach to your aesthetics journey. She believes the future human will be able to know how to look and feel good so that they can live their best, healthiest and sparkliest life.
She has spoken throughout her career at several international and national surgical and health conferences associated with her research, and in the aesthetics industry. She has published in peer-reviewed journals, as well as more mainstream consumer press, namely Tatler, Cosmopolitan and Women’s Health.
Her clinics are award-winning and she has herself been awarded Entrepreneur 100 in 2019 and is nominated for Best Business Woman in Health and Wellness 2022.
She is a busy mum of three with her own perimenopausal journey. This prompted her to create her unique programmes to help her patients navigate their health during the changes to their reproductive health so that they can truly seize the moment and thrive.
